RICE scores reach, impact, confidence and effort. ICE drops reach. MoSCoW sorts work into must, should, could and will not. Kano separates expected features from those that delight.
Other frameworks score dimensions such as volume, urgency, revenue impact, sentiment and feature demand, then change the weighting when the goal changes.
None of them makes the decision for you. They make the inputs visible and keep the arithmetic consistent.
Why it matters for product builders
The useful part isn't the final score. It's the disagreement underneath it. If 2 people score impact differently, the framework shows you where the real conversation is.
