Customer feedback

What is customer feedback?

What is customer feedback?

Customer feedback is anything a customer tells you about their experience: a support ticket, survey answer, sales-call comment or message in a shared Slack channel.

It arrives out of order and in different forms. One problem can look like a bug report from 1 person, a feature request from another and an offhand comment in a call from a third.

Feedback is what customers say. Usage data is what they do. The 2 often disagree, and that gap is useful.

Why it matters for product builders

Feedback is cheap evidence about what to build. It is hard to use because the pieces must be connected before they mean anything.

What changes in AI-first products

Customer feedback hasn't changed. Customers still describe fixes instead of problems and often say something different from what they do.

What changed is the volume a team can process and act on. The bottleneck moved from reading the feedback to deciding what deserves a build.
